2009

Sunday, August 30th
North Olmsted Home Days Parade
We’ll kick off our anniversary year with an incredible float for the city
parade.  All are welcome to join in the fun!

Sunday, September 13th
Church Rededication Service
Ellen Carvill-Ziemer, our minister, and Rev. Joan Van Becelaere,
our district executive director, will lead a special dedication service beginning at 11am.
A delicious dinner will follow featuring recipes from
our anniversary cookbook.

Sunday, October 4th
Historic Unitarian Service, 11am
A traditional Unitarian service, beginning at 11am, will be offered to honor our shared
religious background.
 
Saturday, November 7th
Harvest Festival
We’ll celebrate the season with a traditional 1800’s harvest festival with hearty food and splendid entertainment to warm the spirit.

Sunday, November 8th
Historic Universalist Service, 11am
In honor of our original founders, we will offer a service of the First Universalist Church
led by Rev. Susan Ritchie a scholar of Universalist history.
 
Sunday, December 20th
Holiday Concert
Join us at noon for a very special traditional holiday circle dinner followed by a spectacular music concert to celebrate the season.

2010

Sunday, January 17th
Underground Railroad Service
An important part of our church’s history was our participation in the
Underground Railroad.   This service will honor our social activism.

Saturday, February 20th
Love is the Spirit of this Church
We will celebrate our faith tradition of love and compassion with
a special Valentine’s Day dinner, a collective quilt creation, and our
annual church fundraiser.
 
March 2010
Community Government Month
During the month of March, we will honor our congregation’s civic role by
opening our doors to local community leaders.

Sunday, April 18th
History of OUUC Service
This service will explore our beginnings as a congregation as well as interesting
facts about our remarkable bell and our involvement in the OxCart Library.

Saturday and Sunday
May 29th-30th
Finale Weekend
We will conclude our celebratory year with a very special weekend.  It will
 include a reunion of past ministers,  an open house for the community, a
 service with UUA dignitaries, and the dedication of our roadside marker.
